The Pelvic Floor Clinic Hamburg

The pelvic floor clinic of Frauenklinik an der Elbe – a slightly different approach.
We specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the pelvic floor – without synthetic meshes: Using the patient's own tissue, pelvic floor injuries are corrected gently. This approach results in less scarring, and we strive to restore the condition that existed before childbirth at a younger age. Preserving the uterus and ovaries, and respecting the cervix as the static center of the pelvic floor, are of paramount importance in our work.
The pelvic floor is subjected to considerable strain throughout life. Natural childbirth widens the vagina, and stretching and injury of the ligaments during pregnancy and childbirth further contribute to this. Aging also plays a role – we develop wrinkles on our faces, and connective tissue weakens not only there. The consequences include a feeling of looseness, prolapse and bulging of the vagina and uterus, unsightly enlargement of the labia, and urinary and fecal incontinence. All of this takes a toll on your physical and emotional well-being and self-esteem.
In contrast, there is the desire to enjoy life in good physical health, to meet friends, to attend events, to experience a fulfilling sexuality – from young to old.
Don't suffer in silence; talk to us openly. During your consultation, we will accurately diagnose your problem, jointly evaluate previous conservative and surgical treatment attempts, and explore further options.
